December 24th, 2009cajunsblues @ : A Bundy xmas to you May the holidays treat you better and enjoy Current Mood: cheerfulmsvicious @ : odd girl out but when i saunter ignominiously off that gaudy stage, sashaying bravely with my consolation prize as others more fortunate & more easily accepted/defined clutch each other, reveling in hysterical insincerity, i'm taking the un-coveted & under-appreciated title of miss congeniality with me. a dual purpose pop culture reference, a bitchy valet & a barren immoral actress notwithstanding. it is not overweeningly ironic, despite being one of the least liked/most quizzically (if at all) remembered of girls. i would at first glance seem a strangely conciliatory choice. the pity vote for the basket case nympho? perhaps. but other than that... for a certain stripe of disenfranchised underdogs, the underlying & ofttimes overt reserves of empathy that spill out whenever the chance circumstance arises, stems from an ardent desire to relate to to demystify &, obstensibly, shirk the cruelty & incomprehension of others via understanding if not compassion. a very selfish brand of altruism, to be sure. but social interdependancy demands it, & so... it seems these days it's simply a point of reflection after the most recent round of nursing a significantly bruised heart & licking my back-bitten battle wounds. weird crazy ugly poor. all this & so much more. the girl that you abhor. let's try wild free uncanny guileless. a treasure that you'll never know. a sweet tart made to break your heart. an alluring antipathy somehow at peace. giggles madly & bestows gentle pity, tries patience with & observes the fragility of her would-be destroyers. reminded that her purpose is for peace, & that she is not as they are. & so she uses all the double-edges of that blade to cut through unfettered to see what we will see. msvicious @ : the things that run through my mind sometimes... a black white & red memorial to a starlet cut down, a bitter reminder of death's quality of selection & also it's jilts. cannabis, percoset & yerba mate well after 4 am on a cold, dark night. a preamble to parable- it's just not worth getting frustrated & succumbing to self-fulfilling prophecies of ineptitude. demoralizing if not counter-productive, as it can cause the subject to operate obsequiously. a caution- even if you know yourself & your worth better than they, never allow yourself to be too negligent in cultivating your awareness of the sundry & cohesive perspectives of others. but never inculcate it. a moral- do not court miss fortune nor lady luck. calamity jane wins out every time.
